One key person, from the very first visit.

Your child is matched with a key person who learns their routines, comforts and first words, and talks with you every day.

A practitioner in glasses reads a picture book with a toddler on her lap
  1. Visit together

Stay for an hour while your child explores, with you close by.

  2. A short stay

You head out for an hour. We call if they need you.

  3. A first full day

When you and their key person feel ready, not before.

Seven ways to learn. All of them play.

Our days follow the Early Years Foundation Stage. It sets out seven areas of learning, and here they are as verbs.

  1. Talk

    Communication and language

Stories, chatter and a few new words every day.

  2. Move

    Physical development

Climbing, balancing, pouring, threading and putting on their own shoes.

  3. Share

    Personal, social and emotional development

Taking turns, naming feelings and making first real friendships.

  4. Read

    Literacy

Books in every corner, mark making, and phonics when they are ready.

  5. Count

    Mathematics

Counting steps, sorting conkers and spotting shapes on the way to the park.

  6. Wonder

    Understanding the world

Bugs, weather, seasons, families and how things work.

  7. Make

    Expressive arts and design

Paint, clay, junk modelling and the home corner.

What a day here looks like.

Every room follows a gentle rhythm, flexed around naps, feeds and the weather, so children know what comes next.

  1. Hello and breakfast

Doors open. Porridge, toast and fruit for early arrivals.

Two toddlers eating porridge at a wooden table with an apple nearby
  2. Free play

Children choose: blocks, paint, books or the sand tray.

  3. Garden

Out in all weathers, with waterproofs and wellies by the door.

Two children in hats, jackets and wellies carry a watering can across the garden to the seedlings
  4. Lunch, cooked here

Our cook makes every meal from scratch. Allergies, cultural and faith diets are planned in from the start.

Small hands at a lunch table with plated hot meals, fruit and cups
  5. Rest

Quiet books for some, a nap for others.

A young girl sits cross legged on cushions in a fabric reading tent, turning the pages of a picture book
  6. Stories and tea

A story on the big cushion, then tea together.

A practitioner sits cross-legged reading a story to a small group of children
  7. Home time

A proper hand-over, and the story of their day.

A smiling father holds up his toddler in a woolly hat and fleece coat under a brick porch at pick up
